MIST COOLING TOWER MANUFACTURER IN INDIA

MIST TOWER

Manufacturers and supplier of Mist cooling towers in India. We have wide variety of customised system which are designed, manufactrued, tested and deployed as per application requirements.

Mist cooling tower uses atomized water with air and dissolves into micron sized particles that “flash-evaporate”. The smaller the water droplets, the better the cooling and lubrication.

Components and Advantages of Mist Cooling Tower

A mist cooling tower is an essential component in industrial applications to control the temperature of a system by using the principle of evaporative cooling. The technology relies on misting nozzles that disperse fine water droplets into the air to enhance the cooling process. This blog will walk you through the key components of a mist cooling tower and highlight its advantages, along with explaining how wet bulb and dry bulb temperatures play a significant role in its functioning.

Key Components of a Mist Cooling Tower

1. Misting Nozzles: The core component responsible for dispersing water in the form of fine mist. These nozzles break the water into tiny droplets to increase surface area, which accelerates the evaporation process, thereby enhancing cooling.
2. Water Pump: A pump ensures a continuous supply of water to the misting nozzles. It is crucial for maintaining the water flow and pressure required to create the mist.
3. Fan Assembly: Fans are often installed to help increase the air circulation, drawing warm air into the system and aiding in the evaporation process. The fans ensure efficient heat dissipation.
4. Heat Exchanger: This component transfers heat from the water to the air. As the water droplets evaporate, they absorb heat from the system, cooling it down.
5. Drift Eliminators: These prevent the water droplets from escaping the system before evaporation. Drift eliminators reduce water loss, making the system more efficient.
6. Water Collection Basin: A basin is installed to collect any excess water that has not evaporated. This water is then recirculated through the system to maximize efficiency

Wet Bulb and Dry Bulb Temperature Impact

Wet Bulb Temperature: The wet bulb temperature is a critical measure in evaporative cooling systems like mist cooling towers. It indicates the lowest temperature that can be achieved through the evaporation of water. In a mist cooling tower, as the water droplets evaporate, they reduce the surrounding air temperature to near the wet bulb temperature. The more humid the air, the closer the wet bulb temperature is to the dry bulb temperature, and the less cooling the system can achieve.
Dry Bulb Temperature: This is the ambient air temperature, which does not account for humidity. In a mist cooling tower, the dry bulb temperature is typically higher than the wet bulb temperature. The effectiveness of the mist cooling tower depends on the difference between these two temperatures. A greater difference allows more heat to be removed from the system, increasing the cooling efficiency.

Advantages of Mist Cooling Towers

1. Energy Efficiency: Mist cooling towers use less energy compared to traditional air-conditioning systems. The cooling process relies on natural evaporation, which reduces the need for mechanical cooling components.
2. Water Conservation: The mist system uses a minimal amount of water, as most of the water is evaporated and used efficiently in the cooling process. Recirculating water through the basin further improves conservation.
3. Compact Design: Compared to traditional cooling towers, mist cooling towers are more compact and easier to install in smaller areas, making them ideal for industries where space is a constraint.
4. Cost-Effective: These towers require less installation and operational cost compared to large-scale cooling systems. They are an affordable alternative, especially for applications in commercial and industrial sectors.
5. Environmentally Friendly: Since they do not rely on refrigerants or chemicals for cooling, mist cooling towers have a smaller carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly operation.
6. Scalability: Mist cooling towers are highly scalable, meaning they can be adjusted to meet the specific cooling needs of any operation, whether small or large.
