When the misting line is pressurised, Drain valve orifice closes due to the pressure and will block the draining of water.
When the misting line is not active, the drain valve activates and drains the water from the misting line which helps in reducing the pressure in the misting line thereby reducing the accidental dripping of water from the misting line.
